Trick Genealogies

Since new tricks are constantly being added to this site,
this page will undoubtedly get outdated fairly quickly
- and for now, it is only a preview of what is to come -
but here it is!

I have long thought that it would be interesting to see a listing of tricks based upon a generation of variations
- probably easier seen below than explained -
because there are many ways to create variations of tricks but one of the best ways is to look at what successful variations have been done with other tricks and then apply those successful variations to other tricks.
If you can see the whole family tree of juggling tricks at once, you can see which tricks do not have many variations, which tricks are models for creating other variations, and which tricks are probably just too darned special to do much more with them.

For now, I'm just going to do a genealogy tree for two very popular Parent Tricks "The Fake" and "Box":
